What better way is there to use your modern gaming console than to play old school games? David and Robert look over previous and upcoming titles on the Nintendo Switch that'll be sure to scratch that retro itch. We got monkeys, boxers, and radical ninjas galore! What's not to love?

Before that, we jump into the news on the Commodore 64 Mini being a real thing finally. We then get into a pretty deep discussion over the positives and negatives of game ROMs as Nintendo recently went after a couple of hosting sites. Then we close out with official word that Stewart Copeland of The Police will in fact be returning to his gaming claim to fame in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

The Stage of History welcomes a couple of arcade classics with the "beary" lovable Crystal Castles, and classic city destroyer Rampage. Robert then flies off with the rare arcade release Sky Skipper in Obscura. There's also game giveaways for Tangledeep and Garage: Bad Trip that you'll want to get your hands on. No Random Select this week, so we finish off with extra news items on N64 Forsaken making a return, and a Battletoads challenge that had us both impressed!

Take a (Shonen) jump into the world of anime style video games in history, ARGonauts! We welcome back "King Baby Duck" Evan Bourgault of the Boston Bastard Brigade to tap into our power levels of anime video game knowledge. What makes the art style work so well in games? Where does it work (not work) so well? What does Robert have against Wheaties? We get into all that PLUS we read and react to responses from listeners like YOU!

First we dive into the news about the Uncharted fan film starring Nathan Fillion, and what we'd really love to see in a proper Uncharted movie. We then take a look at the announcement for a western release of Return of Double Dragon, Stewart Copeland of The Police lending his expertise to Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and a Final Fantasy XV mod that will surely please PS1 fans.

The Stage of History has us welcome a couple of newer retro RPGs that sport an anime flair with Dragon Quest VIII and Persona 4, plus Robert takes us back to the truly obscure anime shooter Ordyne in Obscura. Be sure to pick up our game code giveaways for Lost Technology and Sonic Mania, then stick around a bit longer for another round of Random Select! Where (or when) would you find David's character this week?

Don't have a cow, ARGonauts! We're diving into the retro gaming library that makes up our favorite yellow-skinned family The Simpsons. Returning guest Bill Gardner joins us to talk about the good (and downright awful) titles based on the long-running show. We even have plenty of responses from listeners like YOU that we read on the show. Let us know your favorite Simpsons games in history also at our Discord.

We kick off with the news on the reveal of a Battletoads game for Game Boy that was completed, but never released. We then get into some Switch-centric news on Nintendo stating how they'd like 20-30 new indie games released per week, and a special edition for the Toki remaster that will please arcade fans. Then we take a look at an amazing fan-made trailer for the PS4 Spider-Man game that gets our old school bones tingling.

The Stage of History this week feeds our yellow fever with Bart vs the Space Mutants and The Simpsons Arcade Game. Robert then hits the mat with Simpsons Wrestling in Obscura. Be sure to grab our game code giveaways for Aftergrinder and Dungeon Stars, then stick around for another round of Random Select! Who could Robert be this time?

Let's cute 'em up, ARGonauts! We welcome onto the show Twitch streamer Starlight Skyes to talk about cute retro games, and how cute characters in games may hide more than meets the eye. Not only that, we also have responses from listeners like you! Let us know your favorite cute games in history also at our Discord.

We first hit the news this week with word that the World Health Organization has decreed video game addiction as a disease which sparks quite the debate. That's followed by the latest rumors over Google joining the gaming hardware race, OG Xbox system architect Rob Wyatt joining the Atari VCS team, a Namco combo pack worth checking out, a Darius collection making it's way to Japan, and (finally) Shenmue HD Collection getting a release date.

In the Stage of History, we welcome some cute titles to get us in the mood with Yoshi's Story and Pikmin. Robert then picks up the beat with Patapon in Obscura. Be sure to nab our game code giveaways for Dead by Daylight and Just Shapes & Beats, and then stick around for another round of Random Select! Who could David be this time?
