Batman has had a roller coaster of a retro gaming record before solidifying his legacy recently. Our buddy and returning guest Andre Tipton of Real Otaku Gamer comes back on board to lend his own expertise in this fun romp through The Dark Knight's video game history.

Before we do the "Batusi", we kick off the show with some interesting news on Sega's deep dive in the mobile market by releasing games from each of their console generations. Then David's dream comes true as NES Jason finally makes his debut on the Friday the 13th game, and Neil deGrasse Tyson brings hardcore science in his own video game.

The Stage of History returns in full force with Batman on NES, The Adventures of Batman & Robin, Batman's unexpected cameo in The Revenge of Shinobi, and Sonic Adventure 2 in celebration of its 16th anniversary. We also have game giveaways, including the full season of Batman: A Telltale Series that you can't miss out on. Then later we have another game of Random Select. Can you guess who David is before our contestants?

See how wrong we were from the previous episode! Evan Bourgault of the Boston Bastard Brigade and ElectricSistaHood joins us once again to chat about all things E3 2017. Which trailers wowed us? What were the biggest surprises? Which games does Evan already have preordered? And of course, we get into our personal winners amongst the company press conferences.

Before we dive into that, we get into some news items such as Atari potentially getting back into the console race, as well as WayForward of all studios making a movie tie-in game for The Mummy.

There's also game giveaways that you won't want to miss out on, and another game of Random Select. Who could Robert be this week?

Also, this episode is dedicated to Keith Robinson who has sadly passed away recently. All the love to the man who truly embodied the Intellivision. Take care, brother.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is upon us, so what better time to lay out some E3 2017 rumors and predictions? Our buddy Tony Polanco joins us to give thoughts on Star Wars going open world, Battletoads finally coming back, Gears of War 2 getting the remaster treatment, and... Mr Balls?

Be sure to also join in on the conversation with YOUR E3 2017 predictions! We will have our regularly scheduled show going over what came true, and what we were grossly wrong on.

The top of the show gets into some strange and exciting pre-E3 news, such as Bubsy making a surprise return, and Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works coming out with a Dragon Ball fighting game. We also discuss the new fantasy game in the works by the game director of Persona 5, and some (hopefully good) retro consoles that were announced.

Before we forget (damn you, Mr Balls!), there's also a game of Random Select! Which video game character could David be this week? See if you can guess before Tony and Robert.

Filmmaker Kurt Vincent joins us to chat about his documentary The Lost Arcade! You won't want to miss out on this love letter to arcade enthusiasts and those of us who remember placing their quarters on the cabinet to indicate "we got next". There's also some great behind the scenes stories that didn't make it in the final cut that you'll want to hear. We all get into our favorite arcade memories as well. Let us know yours!

Our news at the top of the show dive into the reveal of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, as well as what sort of online retro gaming plans Nintendo has for the Switch. There's also our impressions from the Pokemon Direct (spoilers, it wasn't all that), and also the word on an unofficial Dreamcast emulator coming to Xbox One. You also wanna listen to the story of the groundbreaking title Star Cruiser that recently came to light.

The Stage of History this week keeps the arcade theme with classic gems such as popular beat 'em up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Capcom's pre-Versus game X-Men: Children of the Atom, and the Japanese title that would spark the music genre Beatmania. Robert then has a new entry in Obscura talking about NEOGEO classic Viewpoint. There are also our usual game giveaways, this time for JRPG Arelite Core and beta codes for David's favorite Windjammers!

Now that his game is finally released, Bill also has time to chat about his genre of choice - survival horror! Jump in on the conversation with us, but don't mess yourself in the process!

This week's episode kicks off with some exciting news, such as a release date reveal for the 2D revival Sonic Mania, as well as the debut of a new title by the developers of I Am Setsuna. We're also taken aback by word that there will be a musical for gaming documentary The King of Kong, as well as what looks like a Mario Kart ride for the upcoming Nintendo theme park. Let's a-go!

The Stage of History takes a dark and twisted turn with survival horror games throughout the years being a focus. LEARN about the roots of the genre in Haunted House! LISTEN to what Western gamers missed in Sweet Home! LIVE through the first take on 3D survival horror in Alone in the Dark! Coming to a podcast near you. Then Robert tackles the oft-forgotten Sonic 3D Blast in Obscura.

Don't forget to get your hands also on our game giveaways! We have codes for 8DAYS and Guns of Icarus as well as a couple of codes for Bill's game Perception. Grab 'em while you can! Finally, there's another game of Random Select. Who could Robert be this week? Gotta guess fast!
