Which retro gaming titles would work in a virtual reality setting? Justin Chou of The Zero Review joins us to explore that very question. We dream of a world where slinging beers and racing 200 miles per hour can be done right in front of your eyes!

Be sure to listen through the whole show for Robert's 1-on-1 conversation with Far Cry 5 lead Dan Hay. Ubisoft's survival franchise hits home this time around!

At the top of the show, we cover the new Netflix series on Castlevania going anime, a partnership between Pac-Man and Rubik's that's sure to tickle that nostalgia bone, and the amazing story on how a gamer enjoys this great hobby of ours with no eyes. You have to *ahem* see it to believe it.

The Stage of History welcomes in its first Virtual Boy game Teleroboxer. Was it the second coming of Punch-Out, or a "red menace"? The tragedy continues as Robert brings up the fighting game spinoff Castlevania Judgement in Obscura. Now you can truly go mano y guano with Dracula.

Then there are game giveaways, one of which is for the modern day Maniac Mansion spiritual successor Thimbleweed Park. Finally, there's another round of Random Select. The character David is this week might leave you in for a shock!

Despite being known for his brutal platformer Electronic Super Joy, game designer Michael Todd is in fact a huge real time strategy fan. Join our conversation on all things RTS related, as well as our idea for a mafia-themed RTS. You're gonna make your move, then sleep with the fishes!

David also sits down with Bitmap Books head honcho Sam Dyer to talk about creating visual compendiums on the NES, SNES, Commodore 64, and more! You also get an inside scoop on the upcoming NEOGEO: A Visual History.

The top of the show covers a BEVY (caps are not used lightly) of news stories, including The Legend of Zelda potentially getting the mobile treatment. There's also Sega aiming to bring back some beloved retro franchises. Could David's dreams of a Shenmue remaster be finally coming true? Plus the creators of PaRappa the Rapper go to Kickstarter for a new title, the Hitman franchise has a target on its head, a new Harvest Moon title is making its way to Nintendo Switch and PC for the first time, and Hyperkin may have the NES Classic killer for you!

The Stage of History is soaked in RTS goodness with the title that started it all Utopia, plus the title that took the genre to new heights Starcraft. Robert brings up Tengen's Tetris in this week's Obscura. We also have game code giveaways, including some bonus codes from Michael for his games! Plus there's Random Select which will make you feel a little.... furry this week. Can you guess who Robert is before we do?

What was the all time greatest SEGA console? What ended up sinking a promising hardware run? Why turn their most successful console into the gaming industry's version of Frankenstein's monster? We answer these questions and more with returning guest Kelsey Lewin!

We start off the show with a handful of intriguing news, such as SEGA shooter Vanquish coming to PC, and cult classic Deadly Premonition being turned into a board game. We also tackle the story on the Nintendo Play Station becoming playable, plus those darn Metroid rumors that seem to keep popping up! Is there a Switch title in the works?

The Stage of History welcomes in three SEGA classics this week. There's the unique Genesis brawler Comix Zone, Hideo Kojima's graphic adventure title Snatcher, and the quirky rhythm game Space Channel 5. Guess which one stars the one and only Michael Jackson! Robert also schools us in Obscura with the oft-forgotten Saturn platformer Astal.

There's also game giveaways you don't want to miss, plus the fastest game of Random Select we've had yet. The only thing faster would be the character David was this week. Can you get in a quicker guess, ARGonauts?

Games ahoy, ARGonauts! Curtis Smith, founder and CEO of Gamer Tech Events, joins us to chat about his cruise ship venture aimed at providing the best of gaming on the high seas. You won't want to miss out on everything you could be experiencing on Gamer Gauntlet later this year!

The top of the show has a nice mixture of surprising news and moments in retro gaming history. First on the table is a rumor that got around of Super Empire Strikes Back getting a modern revival much like its predecessor. We then discuss the surprising reveal of Darksiders III, Fiddy's kid making decisions on his rap daddy's game 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, and a look back on the beginnings of NES emulation with NESticle. Try not to snicker!

This week's Stage of History takes us out on the water with the arcade racer Hydro Thunder, and Robert schools us on a seldom mentioned game starring our favorite fighting robot Mega Man: The Wily Wars in Oscura. We also have our game giveaways with codes for Akhihabara: Feel The Rhythm and Super Rude Bear Resurrection. Then of course there's a game of Random Select. Who could Robert possibly be this week?
